Match Information

We shoot at the Tucson Rifle Club - Three Points Shooting Range. If you are interested in joining us, meet us on the second Sunday of every month at 7:00 am. Stop at the front office, tell them you are interested in 3 gun, and they will point you to the tactical bays.

Matches

Our matches are on the Second Sunday of every month. We begin stage(s) set up at 7:00 am. The match usually begins at 8:30 and we generally finish around 3:00
Fees for our regular, monthly matches are $10.00 you pay at sign in to TRC (non Member) and $5.00 a the Match Sign up
Spectators are invited to watch anytime. We do recommend eye and ear protection.

Scoring

Scoring is always a combination of time and accuracy, with deductions for “procedurals” (shooting a hostage). Paper targets are almost always a standard IPSC/USPSA target, which has different scoring “zones” that count as different point values, “A” hits being worth the most and “D” hits worth the least.

Stages

We usually have four to five bays ranging out to 200 yards. Most stages require the use of two firearms in a single stage, with some requiring the use of rifle, shotgun and pistol. Set up takes until around 9:00 am. We then break the group of shooters into several squads, and the fun begins. On an average day the round count is around 100 rifle, 50 birdshot, 5 slugs, and 100 pistol, but may vary significantly depending on the stages that day. Shooters are expected to tape, reset targets and support other shooters in their squads while waiting their turn.
